Supervision

Clinical Supervision for Trainee and Qualified Practitioners

I offer individual and group supervision to counselling and psychotherapy practitioners and those in related fields. My approach tends to be supportive and reflective as we get to know one another, with the option to experiment with action methods and other creative practices—writing to inquire, embodied or symbolic practices to surface latent awareness—once our relationship is established, according to context and need.

I am on the UKCP approved supervisor register, within HIPC, meaning I can support trainees in humanistic, person-centred, psychodynamic, and integrative modalities. For experienced practitioners seeking to enhance and extend their understanding and creative confidence, we may move into more creative and experimental modes of exploration.

Individual Supervision

Format: 50-minute sessions, typically fortnightly (adjustable to need)

Fee: £100 per session

Individual supervision provides a confidential space to bring challenging cases, explore countertransference and relational dynamics, develop professional competency, and maintain ethical practice.

For trainees, I can support humanistic, person-centred, psychodynamic, and integrative modalities within the HIPC section of UKCP. I'm familiar with the requirements of BCPC and other HIPC accredited training organisations, and happy to coordinate with your course where needed.

For experienced practitioners, supervision can extend into more creative and experimental territory—using action methods, embodied inquiry, and collaborative writing practices to deepen your reflective capacity and creative confidence in your relational work.

Clinical Supervision Group

Format: 1.5-hour sessions, fortnightly (4–6 participants)

Fee: £45 per participant per session

The Clinical Supervision Group is an opportunity for qualified counselling and psychotherapy practitioners of any modality to share approaches, exchange theoretical influences, and understand psychotherapy and counselling through the different cultural and socio-political lenses that our histories, circumstances and countries of residency give us.

We usually begin by sharing what we are noticing arising for each of us in our practices and/or the social and cultural arenas we inhabit, and then move into specific client material and/or topics relating to practice. The group is facilitated to promote a warm, accepting and supportive atmosphere, with room for spontaneous engagement whilst also ensuring everyone has a chance to speak.

We 'trust the process' to allow us to have the conversations we need, and which will most help enhance our psychological availability to our clients. Sometimes these centre around a particular client and at other times broader themes related to practice become our focus.

Groups meet virtually via secure video link. Cohorts are maintained over extended periods to build depth, trust, and continuity between participants.
